It literally takes my breath away that conservatives can say with a straight face that it was wrong, wrong of Senator-elect Jim Webb to be "rude" to de facto President George W. "How's your boy in Iraq, my daughters are fine thanks, and my Vietnam service was pretty cushy too" Bush?
Have they forgotten how the REPUBLICANS have contributed to the coarsening of American politics with acts of rudeness aimed at Democrats often compounded with out-and-out lies? A few examples off the top of my head:

Even though we all agree that rude may be rude, tacky is tacky, disrepect is still disrepect, it amazes me that what is right and wrong go back to the party that you belong to explain your behavior or lack thereof. Lets be honest shall we? Is there anything that we will just say is in bad taste? All this attention that Sen.Webb is getting regarding this proves my point... Rude is just rude, disrespect is just that. It doesn't matter who you voted for. Its about you being rude.
rude and regrettable. Unfortunate that the Republicans can dish it out but they can't take it. They are so convinced that the rest of the world needs to be sternly whipped into shape but their lily white butts need to be treated with respect. So to all of them I say GO FUCK YOURSELF. Hypocritical assholes.
Webb's language was not disrespectful to the office of the Presidency, and showed far more tact and decorum than Bush, Rove & followers have managed in their years of rule.
